Skopje, May 19 (MIA) - The current
status quo in the border delineation would be overcome
with an agreement of two committees from Kosovo and
Macedonia, but after the defining of Kosovo status,
Kosovo Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi stated for
political magazine "Start".
According to him, the border issue should not be an
obstacle for good neighboring relations.
"We do have any remarks on majority of the
border, but for several oscillations", Rexhepi
emphasized.
Kosovo Prime Minister stated that the relations
between Macedonia and Kosovo have improved.
"This means that the previous tensions have
calmed down. We do not have any territorial or
political ambitions, and we would be happy if
Macedonia was a stabile state, which is a
pre-condition for Kosovo's stability", Rexhepi
said.
According to Rexhepi, the ideas for ethnic states are
not new.
"I know that the late Serbian Prime Minister
suggested that idea to Georgievski- Macedonia's and
Kosovo's division once and for all, creation of a
wall, so that there is nothing in common among
Macedonians, Albanians and Serbs. There is no
political party or a serious institution in Kosovo
that would support such an idea", Rexhepi stated.
Kosovo Prime Minister said that the support of Arben
Xhaferi for an ethnic state was given as a result of
the disappointment after the election loss.
"I do not agree with his concept. He spent much
of his life in the development of the multiethnic
concept, contributed to the Ohrid Agreement, and has
no energy to support it any longer. As a doctor, I
know that he is physically unable to start a new
concept", Rexhepi stressed.
He added that the defining of Kosovo's status should
not be delayed any longer, because it conditions the
stability of the entire region.
"If we don't have clear perspectives, the radical
forces in the region will gain credibility and things
can get out of control", Rexhepi states.
Referring to the essence of the Resolution on KLA's
fight, Prime Minister Rexhepi said that its objective
is adoption of a law on the type of the war, "as
in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and all states that
experienced wars for liberation". /mia
